My Story
Real rooms. Real loss. Real rebuilding.
I spent nearly 30 years in financial services, many of them as a Regional Vice President with my own office. My job was to sit across kitchen tables and help families with their money.
What I learned in those rooms had almost nothing to do with money.
Families don't fall apart over finances. They fall apart because they're not on the same team.
I also know loss from the inside. My wife, Terri, and I shared 32 years together. She fought cancer for 17 of them with a grace I will spend the rest of my life trying to honor. I lost her in 2014. I lost my mother in 2021.
Then one night, behind the wheel of my rideshare, a passenger told me he was six years past losing his wife and only still here for his two boys. I turned off my app and stayed. That conversation became a book, and that book became a mission.
I've studied human behavior since 1987. Everything I teach comes from real rooms, real loss, and real rebuilding. Not a textbook.
